My story
“There has to be a better way.”
That phrase became the engine for everything Stacy Derrick, EMBA, has built — and it’s still the first thing she says when she walks into a business that’s outgrown its systems. As a business consultant Maryland small business owners rely on, Stacy brings more than 20 years of real-world experience to every engagement.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, Stacy has spent more than 20 years working at the intersection of people and progress. She doesn’t just advise — she rolls up her sleeves and builds alongside you. Passionate and pragmatic, she has built a reputation as the person others turn to when they need ideas connected, projects finished, and results delivered.
As co-founder of Help in the Home, LLC and Help in the Home Clinical Services, Stacy helped create organizations dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality support to adults living with mental illness and developmental disabilities. She was also one of the co-creators of CIPA Connect — a collaborative alliance building a national standard for community integration, supporting programs that help individuals with serious mental illness live full, connected, and meaningful lives. She serves on the boards of directors of multiple nonprofits, bringing strategic clarity and genuine heart to every table she sits at.
Today, Stacy channels that same energy into working with small business owners across Maryland and nationwide through Stacy Derrick Creative — helping entrepreneurs at every stage build the operational systems they need to grow with confidence. She specializes in systems design and operations strategy, because she believes that the right systems don’t just grow businesses — they change lives.
